EV Calculator

I've been thinking of buying a new car for a while and I really wanted to go electric. I saw petrol prices go up, but I also was starting to see the high price of public EV charging. I was fairly sure home charging would be much cheaper than petrol, but I started to wonder if EVs were always cheaper when compared to public charging.

You can't compare the prices of petrol to electricity directly, so it's not obvious. I decided to make an EV calculator to help me make sense of the pricing and to compare petrol to electric.

EV Calc shows you how many miles you'll get for your money based on your vehicle's efficiency and how much you're paying for your electric. There is also a page to compare electric to petrol prices which lets you work out how expensive electricity needs to get for it to be more expensive than petrol.

This is information I was interested in. If I did have to charge my electric vehicle only from public chargers then I could find myself paying more than I do now for my petrol car. However, cheaper public chargers are available and as long I am able to charge at home for most of the time, then an ev will be cheaper.
